Testimonies

Dear Denise:
I just wanted to write to thank you for letting us adopt Hayley! It was great being able to keep in touch with you while we waited for her to be weaned and it helped us to prepare for her at home. When we picked her up you were so helpful. We really appreciated the information you provided so that we could make sure we got her started on a healthy, happy life.
We are really enjoying Hayley and we love her very much. She is adorable and smart and a wonderful addition to our family.
We have (highly) recommended you to anyone who asks where we got Hayley!!
Thanks again for everything and we will be sure to stay in touch and send you pictures.
Best regards,
Patty Camp Schmid

Hi Denise,
GIZMO did really well on the trip home, he curled up on Chris's neck and pretty much slept all the way home. we gave him to our mom and she absolutely loves him!! He is such a good dog.!
He went to the vet yesterday and is in great shape and doing very well. he loves to eat! He loves to play!! and he is doing quite well with the puppy pads. we did as you suggested with the pen and crate, at first did not like crate at all!! this morning he went into it all by himself to go to sleep. I think he is getting the hang of it.
He has been a loving gift not just to our mom, but to all of us who had just lost our beloved dog a month ago! he is definitely king of the house!!
Thank you very much!! I will try to download sum pictures for you when my son comes. He knows how to do it. Talk to you soon.

Hi Denise,
Lucy has been a blessed addition to our family. She is a loving dog that is filled with personality and charm. She is a wonderful companion to both of us...she showers us daily with licks and snuggles. We've received countless compliments on both her beauty as well as her gentle temperament.
She loves people and has become a weekly visitor to the residents at the assisted living home.
She brings smiles and receives warm hugs... they often comment how they miss having a dog and wish they had one as loving as Lucy.
The ultimate test came with Lucy meeting my mother. You see...my mother is not an animal person..esp. not in the house. Yet Lucy won her over. She has actually volunteered to watch her during the day when we work. Lucy is living proof of good breeding. With gratitude.

We adopted Bear from Denise VanHuysen on Oct.7,2010. He was a sweet
little dark red boy. We had a one and a half year old female Shih Tzu at
home and were reluctant at first at acquiring a male. Our concerns proved
groundless and we haven't regretted getting him one minute.
After about three days he and Mia were happily playing and
entertaining us. Now they sleep together at night.
Bear is six and a half months old now and such a delight to everyone
who meets him. After a couple of groomings, where he was very co operative
and good, his coat is becoming golden colored fast. He is beautiful. He
has the sweetest face. His eyes are his best feature. Sometimes they
sparkle. He is energetic and healthy and only one half step behind his
sister. He can now jump down, but not up on the furniture. He has never
damaged anything by chewing, though we keep him well supplied with
acceptable things to mouth. He breezed through his neutering, shots and
microchipping. He has a beautiful Shih Tzu body shape. Sturdy and compact
and weighs about 8 lb. 9 oz. He is very intelligent. He learned to jump
from one level of furniture to another to get into a chair, then walked
across an end table to get on the couch. Took us a while to figure that
one out. He also loves standing on his hind legs when anticipating a
treat. We didn't promote this, but he can go in a circle or walk straight
about 10 ft on his hind legs. I call him my "dancing Bear."

Denise was a pleasure to work with. She kept us very informed of his puppy
progress and sent photo's regularly. She has been very interested in his
continuing progress and I believe she has a special attachment to each of
the puppies she raises. I would welcome inquiries from anyone interested
in one of her dogs.
